To get you all ready for the 1883 rewatch this weekend on Paramount Network let’s take a moment to introduce you to the stars of Yellowstone’s prequel. Some you may know, others you may not but they all make up one stellar main cast that will leave you breathless by the end.

Tim McGraw as James Dutton

James Dutton is the protagonist and his sole goal is to lead his family out west and find some land to settle on. A fierce protector and his family is his reason for living. He was a will to thrive to give his children and children's children hope his generation didn’t have.

Faith Hill as Margaret Dutton

Margaret Dutton is a dutiful wife that can hold her own. She is more of a realist and has many fears about the dangers of traveling the Plains. James and Margaret’s oppositions really help balance each other out. Strength can come in many forms and you can see that in her.

Isabel May as Elsa Dutton

Elsa is the oldest child of James and Margaret and narrates 1883. We get to see everything through her eyes and she’s a big dreamer with a heart of gold and one of the most free-spirited women you’ll ever meet.

Sam Elliott as Shea Brennan

Shea Brennan was a Union soldier who works for the Pinkerton Detective Agency after tragically losing his whole family. Above all else, he is a no-nonsense cowboy who helps lead a group out west.

LaMonica Garrett as Thomas

Thomes works as a Pinkerton agent just like Shea. The two of them form an unshakable bond. The two were given the task of guiding a group of Europeans across Texas to Montana and it becomes just as chaotic as you would think. He is Shea’s right-hand man and they really make one dynamic duo.
