Dark Winds follows the story of Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee set in the secluded Navajo Nation in 1971. Joe is a veteran police chief and the more he uncovers about the murders there the more is connected to his dead son. Chee is a former FBI agent who later becomes Laphorn’s deputy officer.

Out of the 18 books from the Leaphorn & Chee franchise, season 2 will cover the book People of Darkness. For those of you that have read it. There are a lot more friendly faces to look forward to in season 2. Jeri Ryan of Star Trek will be joining the tale in New Mexico playing Rosemary Vines. Nicholas Logan will become a series regular for the series, who plays Colton Wolf. Along with all the returning cast from season one.

In season 2 of Dark Winds Chee has become a private eye, now chasing another murderer in the Navajo desert. Chee will look to have his morals tested and it will be a battle to remain professional during this cat-and-mouse chase.
