Luke Grimes performs at Under The Big Sky Festival
By Shay McBryde
Luke Grimes is famously known for his acting talents as Kayce Dutton on Yellowstone, but his acting talents do not stop there. Last week the well-known western actor performed for Under The Big Sky Festival. The midwestern boy from Gem City is making his mark in country music just as fast as he made his name in Paramount’s biggest western hit.
"“It was at this very first festival that I decided to play songs outside of my bedroom. Thanks for having me”"
- Luke Grimes
While it is time for Kayce Dutton to step up to take the reins of the family ranch in Yellowstone, Luke Grimes is stepping up musically. Grimes is an Ohio native born in Dayton, Ohio. While not the only famous actor from this midwest town, he wrote a song specifically about the place he was born and bred.
Following the horrifying train derailment in Palestine, Ohio, Grimes has spoken about his admiration for the residents of the state and did everything in his power to help. He may have left home for bigger and better things but remains a modest man with a heart for the heart of it all.
Luke Grimes was a guest star at the Outriders Under The Big Sky music, rodeo, and roundup. Luke joined headliners Hank Williams Jr. and Zach Brian along with fellow Yellowstone co-star Ryan Bingham. Several other artists joined in the summer fun along with superstar LeAnn Rimes.
How many songs does Luke Grimes have out?
Luke Grimes currently has four singles out along with “Oh Ohio” that include: “Hold On”, “Playin’ On The Tracks”, and “No Horse To Ride.”
Luke’s full album is expected to be released in late 2023, while the latter half of Yellowstone will be airing sometime around November of this year. In other words, we will have much more of Luke Grimes very soon just in time for Christmas.
