Which Yellowstone actor has won the most Emmy Awards?
By Shay McBryde
Jennifer Landon is an American actress currently known for her role as Teeter in the hit show Yellowstone. But her legacy actually came early on in her career and a lot of people don’t know it. Jen was born in Malibu, California and studied at NYU. And of course, she has one heck of a famous father in Michael Landon famously known as Charles Ingles in Little House on the Prarie, and little Joe Cartwright in Bonanza.
What Yellowstone fans may not know is it’s not Kevin Costner or any other big named actor or actress on the series that holds the record for the most Emmy Awards, it's Jennifer Landon!
Her breakout television role came on As the World Turns as Gwen Norbeck Munson. Jennifer started the role in 2005-2010 and left her mark on the soap opera world in just a very short time. Most actors can spend their whole careers never having the type of resume she does. Jen played a character who was originally a down-and-out poor emancipated minor who found strength within herself to develop into a tough and powerful woman. Her talents landed her 3 Daytime Emmy Awards in 2006, 2007, and 2008 for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.
Jennifer Landon went on to play Heather Stevens on The Young and the Restless and had a short stint on Days of Our Lives. In 2017 she began a recurring role in Animal Kingdom as Amy and then went on to begin her next future success on Yellowstone in 2020. Jen had a recurring role for seasons 3 and 4 and in season 5 became a main role for the series.
Who does Jen Landon play on Yellowstone?
Teeter came on to Yellowstone with a bang. Though few could understand her, she brought such a comical attribute from day one. A ranch hand who hit it off with Rip Wheeler at the start despite him needing a road map to understand her. She’s a woman with no filter and fights hard for what she wants. Colby for example flirts with hardcore from the jump, though he didn’t take too kindly to her advances, something you don’t normally see from a woman on Yellowstone except for Beth.
Colby eventually gives in to his feelings after being brutally attacked by Teeter when they were trying to protect the Yellowstone Ranch. Teeter is seen as family and is branded to the ranch. None of us have been the same since she joined the show in season 3, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Quickly she became a fan favorite and she’s such an unpredictable humorous character that she leaves you always wanting more.
Fans still await for the remainder of season 5 of Yellowstone but rest assured when it does Teeter will be driving some people crazy in Texas as they move the cattle there. Amid the writers’ strike and the SAG-AFTRA strike Yellowstone is not expected until November, but that can always change depending on how long the strike will go on. We can’t wait to see the fun chaos Teeter will cause to wrap up Yellowstone!
