Yellowstone star Ian Bohen just confirmed rumors that filming Yellowstone season 5 part 2 is about to start soon, but Bohen didn't stop there!

On the red carpet for the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party, the Ryan actor told Cassie DiLaura of Entertainment Tonight that production kicks off in Montana in May 2024.

"We will go back, rumor has it in May. This summer and then we should be on in November, roughly."

That's obviously great news for fans who have been waiting for so long since the first half of Yellowstone season 5 ended.

Yellowstone season 5 part 2 will be six episodes, according to Bohen

After DiLaura mentioned that this is the most that's been revealed, Bohen asked for some wiggle room and also mentioned that production could start as late as June.

He also confirmed there will be six episodes in the final half of the season, which is shorter than what most fans will be expecting. There were eight episodes in the first half of season 5.

We have to anticipate that fans won't be exactly thrilled with that episode count, especially with how many storylines remain open and need to be resolved. The good news, though, is that there is more set in the world of Yellowstone on the way soon with the spinoff, 1923, and much more!

New episodes will air around the holidays with a break before the season finale

Bohen also mentioned those episodes will premiere in November or December. Then, they'll air through the holidays. Then, he seems to suggest there will be a break until the season finale, which he mentions could be around the Super Bowl. Typically, the Super Bowl is played in the first week or two of February, so the series finale would air on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, if Bohen is correct.

"We shoot six episodes. November, maybe December. Then, we go through the holidays, and maybe season finale, or series finale, maybe on Super Bowl."

This is obviously huge information! We hope it's true. No one involved with Paramount, Yellowstone, and/or Taylor Sheridan has confirmed this much information so far. It had been announced that Yellowstone season 5 part 2 would premiere sometime in November 2024 with production happening through the summer and fall leading up to that date. But, Bohen laid out an estimated release schedule for the final episodes, which is interesting.

Most likely, we'd see Yellowstone season 5 part 2 air at the end of November. If Bohen is right, the season will air five episodes to Christmas. Then, there would be a break for a few months until the season finale. That'd be a really cool way to end this series, if that's what actually happens. It's hard to say if that's exactly what Bohen meant, but it appears to be!

There's still a lot we don't know about Yellowstone season 5 part 2. We'll let you know more about the new episodes as we learn more. If production gets underway soon, we'll hear about it!
