Kelly Reilly has a strong message for fans hoping that the Yellowstone spinoff is happening.

In an interview with Radio Times, Kelly told fans to not "believe everything you read" about the rumored and reported spinoff or continuation of the Duttons story after Yellowstone ends later this year or in early 2025.

The rumors and reports about the Yellowstone spinoff series have been swirling online over the last few months along with all of the news about Kevin Costner not returning for season 5 part 2. Matthew McConaughey has been involved, but nothing is set in stone so far. For Reilly, it's the furthest thing from her mind, according to the report.

"I just care about finishing the main show with as much care and as much passion and as much love as I can muster to put into it. That's what I care about. I'm sort of prepping for that now and that's my tunnel vision thing that I care about most."

Production on Yellowstone season 5 part 2 is starting again in May or June with a premiere date sometime in November, according to Ian Bohen. Reilly will be back as Beth in the final six episodes of the series, but beyond that? That part remains a bit of a mystery.

"There are discussions, you know. Don't believe everything you read. It's just nonsense. But we're gonna, you know, let's wait and see. I don't have an answer right now. But we'll see."

It's hard to sort out what's true. As Reilly notes, there are things happening behind the scenes that fans and the general public don't know about yet. Hopefully, we'll see these characters get to continue in this world, but it definitely won't be the same, not with Yellowstone coming to an end. I don't think Taylor Sheridan will continue making this show just to continue making it.

Ultimately, there is too much smoke to say there's no fire, though. Conversations about the spinoff are happening. Major players are interested if the rumors are to be believed, and that's super exciting as the Yellowstone TV Universe moves beyond Costner

There are other Yellowstone projects in the works, too. 1923 season 2 is coming soon. 6666, 1944, and more projects are also coming soon. We should learn more about those projects in the near future.

Whatever happens with this spinoff, one thing is clear: It better be about Kelly Reilly's character, Beth Dutton. If it's not, they have tremendously missed the mark. There is no character better in this whole show than Beth, and it would be a travesty if they tried to build something that's not directly involved with the character.

Stay tuned for more news about the Yellowstone spinoff!
